We are delighted to tell our story in a brand new documentary that’s follows our amazing journey from our performing on Grafton Street, Dublin through to current day.
“Stick Around and Laugh a While” is airs on RTÉ, and let us tell you, it’s a heart warmer and a soul shaker.
Cast your minds back to 1988, a year that for us, feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. That’s where our story kicks off, but oh, it doesn’t stop there. Fast forward to 2023, and there we were, hitting the road, selling out venues across the UK, and proving that time might march on, but the music? It’s timeless.
Why do we still do it? Why do we still gather, year after year, tune after tune? This film dives deep into those questions. From our earliest days, strumming chords and finding our voices at a school talent show, to releasing our debut album that set the stage for everything that followed. And who could forget that unforgettable gig at the RDS in Dublin, with over 40,000 of you joining us in a celebration of music, life, and everything in between?
“Stick Around and Laugh a While” isn’t just a look back—it’s a heart-to-heart, a story of persistence, passion, and the sheer joy of making music with your mates. It’s about sticking together through thick and thin, and why, after all these years, Hothouse Flowers continues to bloom.
